The trees start to lose their bright summer colors and head towards the quietness of winter. In Neth's and my tradition, this is the day where Persephone, the Goddess of the Underworld, leaves for the Underworld to spend half the year with her husband, Hades. Demeter is sad and so winter starts to come to the earth slowly.
